The moth responds, “I loathe my life. My wife harbors resentment toward me, my son’s achievements disappoint, and my daughter, the sole source of my pride, has flown away. At my workplace, my boss dedicates his days to ruining mine. He tirelessly orchestrates my misery. I often find myself pondering my eventual departure from this world—imagining that I will one day fly into a windshield, ending it all.”
The dentist queries, “I understand, but why did you choose to come to a dentist’s office instead of seeking help from a psychiatrist?”
To which the moth replies,
“The light was on.”
